UCLA grabbed a 57-52 win over Oregon State on Saturday, behind a 16-point effort from Cody Riley at Pauley Pavilion.
UCLA did not, however, defeat Oregon State against the spread, which closed at -11.5 at most sportsbooks.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. had 9 points for UCLA and Tyger Campbell chipped in with 9 points. Tyger Campbell had 4 assists for them, while Cody Riley was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
Oregon State got a 16-point performance from Ethan Thompson, who was supported by 9 points from Maurice Calloo. Ethan Thompson had 5 assists in a losing cause for Oregon State, while Warith Alatishe grabbed 9 rebounds.
UCLA was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UCLA had a 33-31 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, UCLA takes its act on the road to face USC looking for another win. For Oregon State, they head home to face Washington.
